The Focus Forward Oklahoma Provider Training is for family planning providers (MD, DO, PA, NP, and CNM) who see patients 18 and under in their practice. The training session will focus on providing the most up-to-date information on family planning services with a focus on long-acting reversible contraception (LARC). The session will include an overview of LARC, discussion and practice related to patient-centered counseling and hands-on procedural skills on the insertion and removal of LARC devices using task trainers and a high fidelity virtual reality simulator. Providers will also have an opportunity to practice their skills with clinical support staff, and are encouraged to bring clinical and administrative staff with them to the training session.

The Focus Forward Oklahoma Clinical Staff Training is for clinical staff of family planning providers (RN, LPN, MA) who see patients 18 and under in their practice. The training session will focus on providing the most up-to-date information on family planning services with a focus on long-acting reversible contraception (LARC). The session will include an overview of LARC, discussion and practice related to patient-centered counseling and hands-on exam room set up for LARC procedures including inventory and supplies needed for each type of procedure. Clinical staff will also have an opportunity to practice their skills as a provider, and are encouraged to come with the provider(s) they work with in their practice

The Focus Forward Oklahoma Administrative Staff Training is for administrative staff of family planning providers (front office staff, office/clinic managers, billing/coding staff) who see patients 18 and under in their practice. The training session will focus on providing the most up-to-date information on family planning services with a focus on long-acting reversible contraception (LARC). The session will include an overview of LARC, patient-centered communication techniques for office staff, insurance coverage for LARC, inventory management, billing/coding and more. Administrative staff will also have an opportunity to practice their skills through hands on activities. Administrative staff are encouraged to come with the provider(s) they work with in their practice
